Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. The name of her can also be stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, it received a raving review from both music bloggers and the press. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the band Oasis to promote a Christmas ad by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. This brought her some attention. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering a grand piano in the attic. She was fascinated by what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to pursue music solely for fun or as a means of growth but rather, she should pursue it. Thus, she began writing her own songs. Bjork as well as Leonard Cohen are among her favorite composers. When her mother told her that the songs she composed could be used to not gain fame for her rather to help people to realize their own value and impact in this world, she began playing them on stage. The mother of her child suggested that she sing her songs in public to help people realize their own importance and how they could impact the world. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. Her only passion is writing music. For her, the music she composes is her way of feeling everything.
