Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist currently competing with the Flyweight Division of the UFC. She is also the elder sister of the former UFC Flyweight champion as well as co- UFC competitor Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sporting career with a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an unanimity. Antonina then won an award of Silver in 2007, a Bronze Medal in 2008 and a Golden medal in 2011, as the IFMA 2016 Amateure Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has won several awards, such as the K-1 World Championships the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was the last time she fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at The Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a an unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut took place in 2002, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She won the fight by second round TKO and also won her subsequent two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of three-three. Shevchenko took a break from MMA so that she could focus on kickboxing. She made her comeback against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa by unanimous decision, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the club in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko fought Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Antonina took the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina Shychenko debuted in the UFC in the TUF Heavy Hitters finals, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight with a unanimous decision. She losing her following fight to Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski and losing to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round, losing to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
